Zanzibar and Pemba
Series of small islands stretches west from Unguja (Changauu, Bawe, Chumbe, Kwale, Pungume, Sume, Miwi, Vundwe, Tumbatu and Popo). In 1994, the first marine national park in Tanzania was designed on Chumbe island, the marine reserve. A Coral park was also opened on the only 16 hectares big island. where visitors/divers can learn about the flora and fauna of coral reef stretching around the island. The area around the reef about 370 species of fish and dolphins live. Zanzibar old town there are the 06°10'-S, 039°12'-E világörökség része. The two same island, Unguja (known locally as Unguja, but as Zanzibar internationally) and Pemba belong to Tanzania, with size roughly the same. there are located in the Indian Ocean, about 25 miles from the Tanzanian coast, and 6° south of the equator It is characterised by beautiful sandybeaches with fringing coral reefs, and the magic of historic Stone Town – said to be the only functioning ancient town in East Africa.
It is surrounded by a rich coral reef, which is great for scuba diving and snorkelling and is visited by several watersports centres in the area.Stone Town is the old city and cultural heart of Zanzibar, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO
